I am a fellow overachiever.
I grew up in NY, was a highly competitive gymnast for 13 yrs, went to MIT, studied Mechanical Engineering, worked hard as a management consultant specializing in strategy for hi-tech companies, played rugby at an international-level, reached the pinnacle of the sport by representing the USA at the 2006 World Cup, and worked for 4 years as a Strategic Planner with a Fortune Global 500 company. After all this overachieving, I decided there weren't enough (credible) resources to help achievers when they wanted to create an amazing life in between their already impressive endeavors.
I came to coaching from a business background; I spent 4 years working with business units to help them articulate and communicate the vision and goals for their groups. I saw how valuable it was to have a 3rd party perspective to ask the right questions and facilitate the discussion.
I resisted the idea of entering the coaching field for a long time because it seemed like an industry that was too "new age-y" for me. But from a business standpoint, there were many potential customers asking for more grounded and credible guidance, especially someone who can identify with ambitious achievers. So I decided to enter the industry with a straightforward, professional focus on no-nonsense people who want to get more out of their lives.
I have a number of clients, but am always excited to work with new ones. I know you'll be happy by what you get out of the process.
Go ahead. Give it a try.
